During his sham of a presidency, Barack Hussein Obama repeatedly showed that he has no respect for police officers. That’s why it was so refreshing yesterday when President Donald Trump held an appreciation ceremony to honor fallen police officers on Capitol Hill.
Mad World News reported that while speaking at the 36th Annual National Peace Officers’ Memorial Service, Trump noticed a six year-old boy in the crowd who had lost his officer father. Trump immediately halted his speech to do something special for the boy.
The child, whose name is Micah, lost his father Officer David Glasser, when he died during a gun battle while on duty last year. When Trump spotted the boy, he reached under his podium and tossed his personal hat to the boy.
“And just to show you, by the way, how much I love our police, I said, ‘Oh, I’m going to need a hat because it’s so windy today,’” explained Trump. “I said, when I got out of here, there’s no way I’m going to put on this hat. So we’ll leave off the hat. And this is for you, Micah. That’s for our beautiful Micah down there.”
This comes after Trump asked the Justice Department to develop strategies to prevent and prosecute violent crimes against law enforcement, and in conjunction, signed a proclamation to mark Peace Officers’ Memorial Week and Police Week.
